The Golden Fork: The Lausanne Food Review
9155 Poplar Ave #17, Germantown, TN 38138
This week, The Golden Fork, Lausanne’s food review features The Blue Honey Bistro, a petite restaurante perfect with stellar food and service.
Hidden in The Shops of Forest Hill, The Blue Honey Bistro, deserves recognition as an all around stellar restaurant. As a higher end eatery, the menu and service is nothing short of fabulous. The ambience is delightful and the decor is modern. This restaurant is intimate enough to converse easily with those at your table, but busy enough to keep your conversations private. It is important to note that this restaurant is not ideal for a quick and easy meal. Yet, for a tasteful Saturday night dinner or fancier lunch, this is the place to be.
The menu does not have endless options. However, what is on the menu is creative and bursting with flavor. The mushroom toast and half salad was more flavorful than I could have possibly imagined. Caramelized onions, gruyere mushrooms, and a perfectly poached egg drip with a beurre blanc, sit atop toasted ciabatta bread. Luxurious in every bite, the toast is without a doubt a must have for those with taste buds. Additionally, the salmon is seared to absolute perfection that there is no need for intense flavoring. Every item on the desert menu attracted me, but I sadly did not have the chance to try any. I will return soon to sample the almond and brown butter cake with spiced apples and apple cider caramel. The Blue Honey Bistro impressed me, and I certainly plan to bring others to such a charming restaurant to share the wonderful dining experience.
